And a gracious hello to you all.

How do I ground a turntable? There is a ground wire coming out the back, but there is nothing on my reciever to ground it on, at least nothing that I can see.

What else can I use to ground it, to get rid of the annoying hum, other than my car's battery? ( joke )

Any advice would most appreciated.

with all best wishes

Yeah! I'm one of those die hard vinyl nuts who plays LP's on a turntable in my car while driving to work, too.

So...all kidding aside, does anyone here know how to ground a turntable?

Try attaching the turntable's grounding wire to a safe place on the metal chassis of your reciever.

Try connecting it to ground. It doesn't have to be on your receiver.

So, just putting the ground wire under one of the screws on/underneath the receiver will be safe?
