Analog Vs. Audio Recording: What's The Difference??

Hey, thanks, gusy, wow! Lots of great info. I guess a few of you answered my question fairly simply: analog recording and audio recording are basically the same thing: analog is audio, and audio is analog. I do understand the difference with digital. Thanks!

I wasn't being rude. Analog is an actual word. So is Audio. They mean the same thing in pretty much whatever context you use them in. I'm not knocking anyone for not knowing what they mean in a recording sense. I'm knocking someone not knowing what they mean in any sense.

No, analog and audio are not basically the same thing. Audio is any signal that represents sound, and it can be in analog or digital form. Analog is a way of sending and storing signals like audio, video and data. There are analog signals that are not audio and audio signals that are not analog.
