Learning, always learning
I've got an idea. Seeing as how I have some time off over the next week or so, I was thinking about putting together a spreadsheet and/or a web page (along with posting a thread with the completed info) which gives a rundown on the various analog decks (open reel and cassette). I figure it would be a great single resource for guys such as myself as well as all newcomers to reference and figure out what might fit our needs.
I've at least been on here long enough to know that some of you guys can rattle alot of this stuff off the top of your head.
I figure make, model (along with variations/versions), media (cassette, 1/4", 1/2", etc.), half track/1/4 track, etc., speeds, and any other pertinent info that should be included. I figure I'll take everything that anyone can throw at me. I'm a fast typist.
If there are some good resources online, share 'em with me and I'll pull from them. I just don't want to have to go to 100 different websites to try to pull info on a small handful of units.
I know this sounds like an ambitious project and that the idea probably isn't new, but I figure 'what the hell".
Either post the info here or PM for an email address if you have lots of into.
Yay? Nay? Anyone?
