Hi all,

I'm hoping someone here has used an SR-16 drum machine & has found a solution for this issue--(or even experienced this issue!)

I have several of these units (I use a lot of memory & program my own patterns/fills).

I'm having one particular problem with fills -- I'm losing the kick drum on the first beat of the pattern following a fill. I had this problem before, and erased & reprogrammed the first beat of the pattern following the fill and was able to get it to work fine, but today I can't fix the problem.

To be specific, I've got a fill that has kick drum on the "and" of the last beat of the fill, and a kick drum on "one" of the pattern following -- it drops the kick drum on "one" every time.

The high hat on "one" is playing just fine, I tried snare and tom on "one" just to see what would happen, and it won't play those either. You get the pattern playing, minus those drums on "one".

This problem is occurring on 3 units (I didn't copy via midi, so probably not corrupted data?). I'm going to try a different power source in case something's goofy there, and I'll re initialize, though if all 3 units are doing this, I don't that's the issue.

I've got quite a few patterns and songs that will play this type of thing no problem (kick on the end of the fill and also on the beginning of pattern). My memory on the first unit with the problem is at about 50%.

thanks if anyone can help! Tech support doesn't seem to know much about this one.

My recollection is that the last beat of the fill always replaces the first beat of the following pattern. So, what ever you want on the first beat of the post fill pattern must be programed in the fill. Once the post fill pattern has played once it will revert to playing only what is programed in the pattern. Go into step mode on a fill pattern and it should be obvious what's going on.
