Hey guys. I juts picked up the 16 USB 2.0 mixer and i got it to set up correctly except It only is running from my left speaker and it isn't giving like.. ANY power. I have to turn the gain up to like 3/4 to even get a solid input to the computer.

Any suggestions? I'm kinda stuck...

Forgive me if this may seem like common sense, but sometimes it's important to mention covering the basics...

That said, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this interface in particular, but I've never seen anything other than a consumer grade soundcard that didn't have some sort of control panel on the computer. Check your manual if you don't already know how to get to this and double check all of your settings there.

Be sure to check your monitor connections as well.

due to school having me write so many papers and homework i havent gotten much of a chace to read the entire manuel YET (college sucks i know..) but I need to look better. Due to the stupidity of me i figured out the monitor issue, i just needed to configure my events correctly... one wasnt up as loud as the other basically lol.

But about the volume issue i'm lost.. I have to turnt he gain up about 7/8th which cause my monitors to screech when i turn the volume to even like 1 millionth lol. I tried opening up the alesis control pannel but there is NOTHING.. only the rate of speed you can choose. Maybe theres another panel im missing? Any help is nice, even if it's obvious stuff... I know this is a simple problem but i'm just forgetting somethig simple...

PS- even with the gain up 7/8 this mixer sounds INCREDIBLE. The set up is so simple! and so clean. I definately suggest to buy this mixer! very very nice. I'm going to pick up an m-audio octane to add a nice 8 channel pre to add some color to the pre's and then i'm set :]

I was reading some reviews this week about the firewire version.
Looks like a good mixer. Would be great for recording live.
Keep us updated about your experience!!

cheers,
moon
