Mike I'm sorry to hear about your job too. It seems no one appreciates loyalty anymore. My bass player worked for Sonic Foundry here in Madison and he got the axe along with many others there. I saw how tough for him so I really sympathize with your plight. I'm sure you'll land on your feet - thanks for the advice on the monitors.
