AKG D112 / set up

I've got a D112 coming in the mail today. I'm getting ready to start tracking drums for my bands new album. Just wondered if anyone has any tips or anything on techniques, etc. This will be the first time I've ever done a complete recording before. I've got a Yamaha MG16 going through a Delta 1010 and using Sonar 3 PE.

Here is what I'm using right now:

Kick: ADG D112
Snare: SM 57
Toms: Shure PE10D (old version of the 57's I believe)
Hats: Shure PE10D
Overhead: AKG C2000B

I think I'm also going to mic the snare on the bottom with another PE10D to get more "crack" to use in the mix. Any opinions would be great.

I think if you start browsing this board you´ll see this question answered a million times already. The only tip I can give you is: EXPERIMENT EXPERIMENT EXPERIMENT with placings and all.


ps: and switch the phase off the bottom mic.
