AKG C2000b Vs AT3035

hi folks, i'm new to the board and new to recording and looking to buy my first condenser mic, i've read good things about both of these and so if any of you could share your experiences with them i'd really appreciate it. even better, if someone wants to sell one...!

I have to respectfully disagree with Kenny on this one. C2000B is a really useful workhorse mic. It is a little more colored than the 3035. It is a small diaphragm mic in a mid-sized housing. The 3035 is a large diaphragm mic. They are both very useful mics. The 3035 is the cleaner mic on say, acoustic guitar, but I prefer the C2000B as a vocal or percussion mic. It depends on what you want to record. I can tell you this. In a project studio with the likes of B.L.U.E. Kiwi, AKG C414B-ULS, Rode NTK, Neumann KM184, and Shure SM-7B, the C2000B sees quite a bit of duty, especially as a backing vocal mic, and on toms and Djembe.-Richie

How dare you! Respectfully disagree with a guy who has yet to release anything on a major label. Disagree with a man who is performer, engineer, producer, roadie, secretary and singer. Wait a minute, maybe you're right. Nah
