Hey there, everyone. I've read a good amount on this topic, and I think I have a pretty good idea what kind of responses I'm going to get, but what can I say....I'm looking to hear it directly before I part with any of my money.

Here's the deal: I'm looking to buy a low cost mixer that will enable me to mix four drum tracks down to two on my 8-track. I've only been looking at models with 4 XLR inputs, because that would obviously be the most convenient.

I've looked at models by Yamaha, Behringer and Alesis. Behringer and Yamaha can be had for is $100, while the Alesis is $150.

The specific models I've looked at:

Behringer 1202
Alesis MultiMix 8FX
Yamaha MG10/2

If it's not too much trouble, please do cast your vote.

Thanks a ton.

The only mixer I have actually used out of those 3 would be a Alesis (well I have an Alesis 12R) and I like it. The pres are nothing great, but they're not noisy. I think the pres in my Alesis are cleaner then those in my PreSonus BlueTube. Most people here will probbaly vote for yamaha just for the name though (it may be better, I don't know), so I'd suggest you going to your local music store and test these out for yourself.
