:) Time for my education again ...

I have the following:

- FRM RNC
- Lexicon MPX100
- BBE 482
- Audio Buddy pre-amp

I'd like to hook 'em up to a Mackie DFX 6 (2 channels with Insert, 2 stereo channels, 2 stereo/Aux Return, 2 Aux Send (1 for monitor + 1 for EFX) ... What's the proper way for the signal chain ?

- Mic/Instruments -> Audio Buddy -> RNC -> Stereo Channel In

- BBE 482 -> stereo/Aux Return 1 & Aux Send 2 (EFX)

- MPX 100 -> stereo/Aux Return 2 & Aux Send 1 (Mon - ??)

Would this be OK ... ?? Thanks for your inputs !!

Best regards

What are you recording to? It's different for tracking or mixing. For tracking use the DMP3 straight into the sound card. You can use the RNC if you need it but you really shouldn't have to use it. Less is best when tracking.

Put the BBE under your bed so you are not tempted to use it very often.

The rest will depend on how your are recording (DAW, Multitrack, etc.)

TexRoadkill - Thank you ...

I'd like to set this mixer up for live ..but also to record to a PC (Audiophile 2496) ... I understand that this mixer is not ideal for recording but I'll to make do ...

"Less is best when tracking" is certainly a sound advice. Thanks !!

The BBE is a effect best used in inserts(as RNC)
But it would probaly be most useful under your bed :-)
