Noise from Lexicon MPX500

Hello,

I am getting noise from my Lexicon MPX 500. It's plugged into the aux send on my mixer and the returns go to a channel on the mixer. It makes noise when the unit is turned on, even with the aux send turned all the way down. It did that on my Mackie CR 1604 as well as my brand new Soundcraft LX7ii. Tried different cables and different I/o and everything, it just seems to make a quiet but noticable static sound. There is no ground switch on that unit. Any thoughts?

With analog (or analog connected) effects, I will run the send hot so I can run the return low to minimize noise. Of course don't run the send so hot that it clips.

That said, a "static" sound might be a fault in the MPX500.
