I'm new here, sorry if this is in the wrong forum area.

I plan to buy this product : Tascam US-600 USB Audio Interface
I want to record vocals and keyboard which I can then change to other various instruments etc. my keyboard has MIDI in and out ,
if you can look at that products specs and connectivity and let me know your opinions
thank you =)

That will work fine, but if you are only recording vocals and midi keys, you could get away with a us-200.

I didn't check the pricing, but i imagine it's cheaper?

Yeah, it is cheaper haha thanks!

is there much of a difference with specs? rather than the 2 in/ 4 out

But won't most microphones be XLR or something else? not all will be MIDI right?

Never heard of a MIDI mic. There are USB mics, but Tascam interfaces don't play well with other USB devices. You will definitely want a mic preamp on your interface.

There is enough information on these forums to answer the basics for you.

I strongly suggest you read everything.

Come back and ask questions if/when you're stuck.

I'm not intimately acquainted with the tascam range, but i strongly doubt there'll be any difference between the 200 and 600 other than the no. of ins.

I'm not familiar with any Tascam interface other than the US-428 either. It's a good idea to download the owner's manual for a product you're thinking about buying to see if it does what you want.

I Just got a zoom r8 and it's been awesome but I agree with the other poster you need to read and learn more about this stuff.
