First of all this site is great!!! It has been a huge help.
Now I have to ask you guys what Kind of monitors would you recommend to me to buy? Here's what I have pretty much settled on getting as of right now, for starters.....
Either:
Mackie HR824, or MAudioBX8
Now, I am totally a noob here...so if it helps any....
I planned on getting the Mackie HD 24/96...as for the mixing board, well...I had originally thought I was going to look at the Mackie analog mixers...but I hear all sorts of different opinions on this site about that...so I am not sure yet.
One thing to mention...I am recording a very heavy, progressive type of music...I play a seven string almost exclusively, and at times I am in low A....if I accomplish nothing else, I want to try to achieve clarity in the low end....so having monitors that will allow me to fine tune that frequency range is a must for me. Don't want muddy sound....
Once again, this site and all the folks who have bothered to help me...you guys are the best...this has been a real learning experience for me.
Thanks!

P.S.: If anyone has a better idea on monitors for me, I would appreciate any opinions. Looks like I can get the MackieHr824's for abot $600 a piece...really hope I don't have to go higher than that!
