I really don't know, never used that program, but is there a cursor that you can use to select different areas of the track? If so, new tracks may begin at this cursor, so try moving it right to the beginning of the other tracks.

you have to line them up. Just click on the bottom left corner of track 2 a box will appear after you have clicked on the track. Click and hold that box and move the track right, this will give you empty space at the at the statt of the song. next click on the track (#2) and you now have room to slide it back to the left and "Line it up" with track #1 Once you realive how to do this it is easy and you get where you cane see where to line it up just by the sound waves...

I may not have explained it very well but e-Mail me at prancing_pony_agency@yahoo.com and I can help you out, there are a few other things you will need to know also.

I like the program and love the price and I wish others would give it a try,
I will help all I can

I've used Kristal a bit and haven't had an alignment problem like you're describing. But I turn off all plugins before recording any new track to avoid latency/aligmnent problems, and I monitor direct at the interface.

I would think that, whatever the cause of the alignment problem, you should be able to easily align the tracks manually using the "Snap to Grid" feature. On the Waver toolbar there's a "Snap to Grid" button. Click it before recording your first track. Then when you record the second track, place the cursor at the same starting point and press record. Should end up being aligned. If it isn't in alignment with the first track just grab it and slide it over (it'll snap to the right position when you're close).

Thanks guys,
That was too easy Grant thanks a lot. :)
Is there a way to bring the track 2 ... levels up or down ? Or do you have to do that at the record stage?

Ted

there are two ways that I know of. #1 use the mixer and bring the level down...you have found the KRISTAL mixer right? (I'm Not being an ass just asking a question. I have learned never to assume)or #2 see the line running through the middle of the track from left to right...Click on it and drag it down...or up if you want more.

Timothy...So that's how the snap to grid thing works, thanks. THis is why I am on the newbe board also

Thank you ,
That works great.

The leveling of the center line for track volume is obvious to me now.

I clicked on the snap grid left and right and couldn't see what it was doing ,
but the lower corner click move will work for what I'm doing.

The Snap to Grid button just toggles the function on and off. Once you turn it on you just click on the waveform you want to move, hold the mouse button down and drag the whole waveform to where you want it to be. Suggest spending an hour reading the manual that opens through the help menu.

Thanks Tim ,
I read the manual when I set it up earlier this year I don't remember learning anything from it that I could apply , but that's me and some manuals.
This forum and the Krystal forum (I can't find it now) are and were a huge help.
