We are putting together our new recording workshop. We are 'new'.

We have an 'echo' problem. Our budget is maxed out for right now.

Have checked out 2x4 acoustic treatments - would run between $250-350
(to much for the budget)

Have checked out 'smaller' acoustic tiles (12 x12) - not sure on budget for this.

Does anyone have any suggestion for acoustic treatment that we might be able to handle right now - we are hoping to upgrade later.

Thanks for your patience in advance. Appreciate the wisdom.

Rigid Fiberglass ..... buy as much 4" thick panels as you can afford right now and buy more when you can afford to.
There are many threads in the the Studio building and display section that go into great detail on this matter.

Hey chey. Get yourself on over to the forum called "Studio Building and Design." You'll get lots of friendly advice over there, especially if you're very specific about what you've got now and what you want to do with it. If I were you, I'd make up a little diagram of you room(s), put all the relevant measurements on it (don't forget ceiling height), describe what's currently on the walls, floor and ceiling, and post it in that forum.
