I actually agree with CIRO...not about the frequencies because I just don't know, but the mix doesn't have any ass, and while the guitars sound damned good, they're just a bit brittle.
I like the change - I can imagine it being a real build of vol & power in a vocal line.
Yeah, may need some bottom end.
You'll have to edit some of the noise at the beginning I suppose.
Nice job Monkey - I like it.
Ok that's pretty helpful...can I ask if anyone knows...I mixed this on some very cheap PC speakers...so is that likely to be the cause of my low end troubles? The music shops here in HK are out of monitor speakers, it's unreal...every product known to man in HK...except monitors. The 1:18 mark...yeah a couple of people have said bad edit/ punch in...actually it is just all live playing there...there is a punch in in the song...but it's not there. The 1:18 is jarring I suppose, but that's what it is there like a complete change. It's hard for me to mix this and have it sound good on the PC speakers and have it translate well elsewhere. I'll repost it after I can mix it on monitors. Thanks everyone.
Edit: If anyone comes back for a look-see...I have upped the lowend and basically followed the advice of the posters in the thread...except for the tone of the cheesey/ cheap lead instrument...I think it really effectively sums up my personality...so I'll leave it as is
