i have a problem,
where i am recording it's just got to much backround noise to get a really clean signal
wondering.......
i have 2 nt1s, but no dynamic mics, the music store here will sell me a sm 58/57 for 49.00-
would this work to get a quieter signal and a useable sound,
or would i be better off with small condensors/omni's
i just purchased a hhb radius 40 for vocals and instruments (bass, guitar) hoping that the high voltage tube design, coupled with tube compressor and tube eq would give me a nice warmth and multi-usage abilities, after a/b comparison with my micpres in my omni studio it certianly seems to make a big difference, especially with electric guitar (pod) and bass.
if i couple this with the shure, compression and eq, do you guys think this might be a solution to get a clean signal.
I HATE NOISE!!!
unfortunatley i live on an island and it is hard to compare mics and things so any input is much appreciated
would small omni condensors pick up less noise than my large condensors?
thanks.
