I know this should probably be placed in the Sonic Foundry forum but that forum is dead and no one vists it so I am hoping someone here can answer my question. I am very new at recording and even newer at using ACID 4 (or any software to do recording).
I have the basics (and i do mean basics) down for recording tracks etc. I can even put effects on the tracks and do pitch shifts, etc. But what I cant do seems VERY easy and simple but cant figure it out from playing with it or looking in the HELP section.
I record a vocal track and mess up the chorus. Instead of re-recording the entire track, I want to keep the verses and just record another track for the chorus. I successfully record the new track that has the chorus only. Now all I want to do is copy and paste that chorus up into the original track replacing the old chorus (that I messed up). Everytime I try it in the Chopper or outside the chopper the effect is the same. It copies it fine, but pastes the selected section in the SAME TRACK. I want to paste it into a different track. Is this possible with ACID 4?
I have cool edit 2, adobe audition and vegas 4 I can start from scratch and try to learn it, but I would think you could do this basic task in ACID 4.
Anyone?
Thanks...
