is there anything you can do if you were an idiot and tried out a pedal with the wrong power supply and toasted the pedal?......... it just doesn't work anymore, and i don't want to throw it away..... is there just one part that can be replaced?
thank you,
rob

Depends on the pedal and what was affected by the voltages.

If it doesn't have diode protection, you're probably pretty screwed. Otherwise you probably only have a fried diode, resistor, or popped cap.
Worst case, you fried the IC and/or transistor(s).

Try and use a battery and see if it works.

Tarnation is right.......if the battery works then there is hope. Any amp service tech shoudl be able to tell you how bad it is, and be able to fix it easily if it is just a diode or resistor or cap.

If it's a chip, then it's cheaper to buy a new pedal......unless it's a Damage Control pedal...

:-(

it did have a light smell to it........ what a fucking waste......... a perfectly new pedal....... that'll teach me..................it's a painful thing to toss in a trashcan....... a whole pedal.
thanks guys,
rob

What model is it?

..

not a million dollar pedal or anything........... a $50 ibanez tubescreamer......... the pushlock one, not the green one......... if it was the green i'd be really sad....... but it just blows cause i bought the pedal in highschool when i was punkish........... and now i was gonna use it again for my new music, still new........ and i do this.
