I yesterday went to jam with a couple of friends, actually there were 4 of us and all play bass in somewhere. Me and a really good and respected bassist friend stuck to our guns while other two traded for guitar and vocals.
the other bassist did the low rumble with some fuzz and I noodled melodies a bit higher on the fretboard.
a couple of phone calls and we ended up playing with two drummers!
Man, two basses and two sets of really good drummers we had the rhythm-section anchored solid, except once in a while drifting WAAAYYY beyond the song. Would have gone on forever but someone had called the cops for noise patrol and we ran out of beer anyways.
But dang it was sweet to play between two drummers!!
Amazed I didn't bust any joints or ligaments on that action.
