Ripping off is something else altogether....Elvis Costello doesn't sound like Springsteen.

Willie sounds JUST like Dylan and he performs JUST like Sprinsteen.....total nockoff, but he does it well.

I certainly don't know everything. For example, why are you being such a dick? Why do you care so much about Greg that you start a thread just for him? Weird and sad.

No but he sticks his head in every thread and makes people believe that they dont need to know anything about writing songs, etc etc etc

When in fact that is wrong, if you want to write and sing to your dog, thats one thing

Well...if you're going to present it from a totally defensive position with all kinds of quality disclaimers.....then it's probably not even worth listenting to.

Check back in when you actually write something you're happy about...and maybe then we'll provide some "predictable responses".....just like you do.

Write a song bout how he's wrong and post it here!

you come in here and tell these guys, who actually DO the tracking, mixing, mastering, playing, singing etc... that they're all mediocre in their abilities and that YOU are a craftsman and that your opinion is the right one. Everyone else is wrong.

Yeah whatever chithead, the guy owns a studio and my demos with just a guitar and drums sound better.

Im happy with the songs, but you can't hear what a good song is, because you dont know what makes it good. which is why these threads were started
