Very smooth, kinda 70's, kinda cd101.9

Everything works. I don't think it's too busy. I'd like to hear the rhythm pushed more with the guit and a more wailing lead or two added. I'd like the bass level higher and a bass lead also maybe -- flaunt it baby!

Thankyou for the kind comments and helpful advice every-1!:)

well it looks as if you had no problem learning how to do the converting as everything sounds great..........i don't have anything good to suggest.......allthe levels sound fine and nothing gets lost in the mix, good job.......

Ah yeeeeeah!!!

The man who's q's come in two's:

Yeah... you brought the funk... listen to that kick! Sub-woofer, car window cracking stuff!! Wouldn't this be cool if the LT. or even Roel substituted that synth sax for the real deal? Would rock, man. Sounds like you got the file conv. thing down...

Nice mix, too.... for jammies, they sound x-l-ant!  :D  :D ;) Wisht my p.j.'s sounded like this ;)

Keep 'em comin!

QQ:

... just to find out if I've finally learned how to convert wav's and c/d's to mp.3 ...

RIGHT.

Well, you sure figured it out! :D Nice groove, Bro! The natives are getting restless... better get some real horn going..  :p

The tune was cool enough. Had some Pharoah Sanders flavor (probably unintended; I know you are more mainstream) but MAN- those horn patches have GOT 2 GO!!!! Have you tried doing some realtime velocity adjustments to the MIDI file? In other words record the horns as you have done but save the MIDI files to HD. Then tweak the MIDI file with CW or somesuch SW and rerecord the playback.

OR:

Lt. Bob to the rescue!!!

The drums were very drum-machine-ish but competently programmed. Don't you know any drummers? You've got that HD24. Have you actually had a chance to use it?

If you get tired of that piece of crap- you know where to send it.

DOC, U OBSERVANT MUTHA'F#CKA' !!!!! I got the idea for the melodic tenor lead INDEED from Pharoah Sanders
"DEAR,DUMB & BLIND" album!!! D@mn you're good!
Like I've stated,I rec'd this on the fly of which it's sole purpose was to be used to finally test my conversion skillz! (As u know, the wif-ee got sick of me always asking her to do it!)
I did no editing of the so-called horn patches; just turned the module on,turned to a general horn sample patch and just went with it. Since I LUV horns, I normally use specific patches for brass and reed's that I have saved in unit but didn't want to
put that much effort into this!!!!

Check your mail-box soon!!!;)

Thx!!!

I heard this earlier today at work and dug it but...it was on PC speakers.............I couldn't get the file to play tonight....but, cool jams man.....................yup......you got the file conversion thing down pat now I would say............

LT. Bob would indeed shine on this jammy.....

Take it easy,
Joe (aka joro)

Hey Q, I finally getta hear some of your stuff... Good work man.
Some good improv stuff. The bass was clean and in the pocket....
The offset guitars might be a touch too much but what the hay, this was a test huh..... I like Funk Jazz a lot.... Im lookin forward to hearin more. The synth horns were believable actually-IMO... Reminded me of some old Chicago stuff...... Sorry man I forgot your from NYC-LOL

Greetings,
Say, did you forget to go to bed last nite¿
I got up a little early and saw that you were still stalking the boardwalk and Im six hours ahead of you NYers which in itself is quite extraordinary for a dumbass Arkie...but anyway I downloaded ya and really liked your tune...nice bass & drums...it definitely had a Crusaders feel to it...great to listen to first thing Sun morn and I actually sat in with you on congas...I agree with the general concensus and suggest that you draft the Lieutenant and offer a scholarship to Roel...¿want some conga loops¿...so on top of the DPS*es you also got a wifey who can convert...now Im totally envious.
