Well, there's been alot of 388 action on the forum here as of lately. Thought I'd post this.
I just came across this on youtube. This is a recent 388 video. Sounds GREAT!!!. I had to leave a comment to ask about how he got the nice punchy drums. All recorded and mixed on the 388 using the 388 pre's.
Very nice!

Yeah, that sounds freaking great... I don't know why but his voice is reminiscent of Thomas Dolby for some reason... But that is a fantastic recording. I have a similar kit and would love to hear it sound like that on my stuff.

Yeah nice sounds for sure. Sounded kind of like a cross between Death Cab for Cutie (verses) and Tom Petty (choruses) a bit.

Great sounding recording, but the song was painfully repetitive to me. It's great to hear people doing really good stuff on this thing cool machine though!

I concur! It's a nicely recorded piece and there's certainly a good song in there for sure. In my humble opinion (for what it's worth!) the 'feel' is right but as 'a song' I thinks it's too 'rambling' and I agree with FB - it's too repetitious. I think it would benefit greatly from a streamlined, tighter & more focussed arrangement that hones in on the hook. It would be more effective if it were to come in under the 4 minute mark too but "Hey! What the $%£* do I know? Just my 2 cents. Fair play & nice effort!
