hi guys. i am a semi experienced home recording enthusiast, and use my fostex MR8 to make my home recordings. i am in the UK by the way. I am now ready to delve into the world of a better mic and a preamp as well.
i have decided on getting the Studio Projects B1 mic and the Behringer MIC200 unit, as this has the phantom power i need to run the mic right?

however..a couple of questions, which are probably stupid...i was wondering
if you guys could advise.
anyways, how is the MIC200 unit powered?..does it come with a power
supply?..is it batteries?
and is the output in XLR format?..basically will i have to buy a separate
XLR lead?..is this correct?..and do you know if the B1 mic comes with a XLR
lead, or will i have to buy another one for that also?
sorry if these questions are dumb.
many thanx.in advance for ya help..DAVE

and is the output in XLR format?..basically will i have to buy a separate
XLR lead?..is this correct? Yes, see above pic but it also has 1/4 output

..and do you know if the B1 mic comes with a XLR
lead, or will i have to buy another one for that also? You will need to buy a mic cable

Thanks for the help. The pic was really useful. I'm glad it has a 1/4 output, as well! I wasn't sure. Now all I need to do is get an XLR cable for the B1 mic and I'm ready to go! Thanks, again!
