A Question on Gear Destiny

Let's say you owned a small head and cab (think 15w head and matching 1x12" cab) from a manufacturer that is to some extent hard to find in many stores. Then, out of some strange GAS symptoms, you picked up another cab for the aesthetic value of a mini-stack and, more importantly, for a little extra volume.

You take this rig to rehearsal, and figure out that you probably don't need the extra volume the cab offers, despite how cool it looks. You are within your return period, and can get all of your money back on the cab.

Problem: though purchased almost a month apart, and shipped in from different stores in a statewide chain, your two cabs have consecutive serial numbers. Now comes the question.

Would you keep a cab that you don't really need simply because of the coincidence in having two with consecutive serials? Would this change if you knew that normal users of this equipment are totally freaking nuts about it?

Cheers!

If it's somewhat hard to find, I'd keep it if only to have the spare for when the first one blows. :D

Keep it because it can become a cheesy rock gimmick later, like the reverse strat or playing with your teeth.

"HELL YEAH! LOOK AT MY SERIAL NUMBERS! RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER!!!!!"

All the bands will be relabeling their equipment with new serials, people will start selling consecutive numbers on eBay, etc.

Also because that rig looks totally badasssssssss.

Zarathustra, you're right. It's cheesy. I admit it. But the rig does look badass. Can I justify $350 on looking badass? It really doesn't sound that much better, and it's not much louder.

You could donate it to me. :D

Think about it, 350$ of charity! I mean, can't you write that on your tax returns? I mean, how much is money when it comes to helping the world?
