Just a thought, since you're admitting you "did something" to Mutt, you could stary by saying, "Hey Muttley, I'm sorry, I didn't mean that," rather than by using it as a continuing excuse to insult him. People tend to forgive you quicker when you apologize rather than continue to attack. :)

I did...days after...and he said he forgave me too...but then he forgot he did that and started in with his troll buddies on me on how I have to use a wheelchair.

Like I said...that itty bitty thing that I insulted him with is only about 1/100th of what he said to deserve it.

I have nine guitars here, some with Gotoh's some with Wilkinson, Grover etc. none of em slip on the posts, ever.

Most of the time when players think they are slipping it's cos they are too limp wristed to stretch new strings in properly, nut problems or more rarely bridge or neck problems.

I'm sure that's pretty much what muttley's argument would have been, give or take, I didn't read most of that thread so I have no idea. :D

Setup and talc'd and a quick wipe over with WD-40.

...besides we were talking about old strat tremolos...this is different than just bending the strings.

I remmember Muttley and some other say that the old strat tremolo didnt cause guitars to go out of tune while used...which was fundamentally wrong on many levels...you use that bar and you will have to retune alot sooner...its why floyds have locking nuts, because tremolos do cause variations at the pegs without them...the locks on the tuner cut down on this...and that is also what Gotoh...Grover...Schaller...and Sperzel all say in thier literature.

Who are we to doubt then...they have been working for decades on this concept and they know what they are doing...I havent seen any of you guys manufacture a tuner on your own...but if you have...Id be interested to hear about it.
