A first recording effort on Zoom R8.

Absolute beginner with digi recording. This is a first effort with the process. Yes it's amateurish in construction and musicianship but I'm pretty chuffed with the sound nevertheless.
 
I dig it ? Really like that steady guitar jam in the background.

I wish I could help, but I have to admit I'm a bit jealous. I've had my eye on the R8 before it even came out. I hope you get it working with Pro Tools. I'd be curious to see if it works well with Kodi nox Reaper.

Yep seems like you've got good separation on everything. Mix isn't cluttered or crowded. Keep doing what you're doing when the arrangements get busier
 
The tracks came out good. When listening with cans the panning "to me" seems a little far spread out but that just one amateur to another's nit pick. I'm not saying what you did was wrong just that I'd of approached it different on the mix. It's a new toy and based upon your first attempt I think you are going to have a ton of fun putting out some good tunes...Keep em comin!
