A drum mic-ing technique...

I think that alot of you probably don't check the drum forum, so I'm gonna post a link here... I'm kind of interested in everyones opinion of this technique, AFTER you try it, of course...

I posted another link using some standard bottom feeder drum mics ala Harvey Gerst style, and the Presonus MP20 mic pres and a crapola Moto 2408 Mk1... all except the overheads, which went into John Hardy's and a Lucid ad9624... sounds reptty good for a rough mix, I think things could use some spiffing up, but not bad dry tracks at all....
