You can do 4 tracks at once but That machine I think is made for quad recording and not multitracking. I would save my money for something else.

Unlike A-2340 and A-2340sx models, A-2340R does not have those Simul-Sync switches (which enable tracks of record head act as play-back) and also it is called "Simul-Track", NOT! "Simul-Sync".
