...
hi all!

hoping for a bit of troubleshooting help from someone here, but i don't know, i might be asking for a bit much.....

i have a creative inspire 6700 5.1/6.1/7.1 surround amp that i use for dvd playback..

i'm not immensly bothered about this, cos they're cheap, but if it's fixable i might as well fix it....

put simply....the sub wont output at all..

i've checked all the usual cables/drivers/settings/driver cone etc and i've narrowed it down to a blown component in the amp's circuitry.

there is one area on the board that has brown staining on the underside, but i don't see a damaged component...

it seems that schematics aren't available for these, so i wondered,,is it worth posting photos of both sides of the board?

if anyone thinks it's worth a look, i'll take some pics and fire them up!

thanks in advance :):)

**EDIT** added photos at www.webforni.com/steen/board.zip

the mentioned staining is bottom right of the green side of the board

fault found.

there were two breaks in the cable that goes to the sub pot on the volume control.

it works now, but you have to be really close to the unit :laughings::laughings:
