Excellent job all around Emeric! Really nice tune ... great production. The drums sound awesome ... way better than Feedback, I thought. Much less room sound overall ... the snare is more in your face and snappy. Remember how you had it set up, because you nailed it!
Your voice ... I keep thinking Ric Ocasek for some reason. Take that as a compliment. :)
Man ... I love the solo at the end ... what amp are you using again? I'm gonna play this one a lot. It's in the top ten.

Ric: Thanks for listening to it. The quick arpeggio thing, during the chorus you mean? That's a mandolin and an acoustic in their, although it's hard to tell - cheapo el degas model. Yeah, that's me on vocals. Thanks again.

BigKahuna: I can't get the same drum sound twice in a row - very hit and miss. The guitar souund is actually the POD. Thanks!
 
Ok, so where is the rest of the albumn? I'd buy it.

Really, very good.

I hear a kind of Neil Young thing going on in there. Only difference is that you can hold a note and he can't.

Two questions if you don't mind divulging.

1. Vocal mike?
2. Vocal effects?

Really liked the tonality change on the lead guitar solo at the end. Very professional.

I'll send you out a copy when I get it done.

The vocal mic is a Rode NT-1.
Effects are the built-in Cubase VST, wonderverb3 and some stereo-echo.

Interestly I've had this song on my HD from the time you posted your song and thought it was a nice song.
Today after cleaning my HD I listend again and this is actully not a nice song , it is a damm good song.

The color of the whole song sounds a litle bit to uniform.
A litle change in little things like the use of the Tamborine could make a major difference subtle but refreshing. Also the solo seems to me to come in a bit early. I need more of the song before the solo climax.

I also think Dobro is right about putting your soulful guitar a little more into your voice.

Hmmm... maybe someday you'll let me add a B3 to this song.
Some nice warm chords with a smokin leslie at the end with that soulful guitar solo. Yehhhhh....

I Checked out ATYW and SoSad . . . I like um both. Your tunes sound so full and lively ! Great vocals . . . SoSad kind of had a John Lennon feel to it. Loved the guitar work in both, especially the end of ATYW . . . for some reason I was hearing Supertramp in that tune. Great work ! More ! More!

DAMN, bRO!!! This was great, I still really dig "Feedback", but I really like this song as well. I'm always impressed by your lead work... it's full of energy and quickness where it needs it, and so clean.

Emeric, I like your vox, no shyte, but sometimes I want someone to chase you around with a butcher knife while you're singing to put more life into your vox. :)

Shailat: I was going to have the chorus vocals happen at the end underneath the lead which would come in a few bars later but I decided not to. Yeah a B3 would be cool at the end for sure - do it! upload an mp3 initially and then get me the wav somehow.

Teddie: heheh.. that's my style man.. lifeless vocals.. :) I see what your getting at though. I know how I would like it to be sung, but it's usually out of my range and quality - I'll keep working on it.

Its a great song but i have to disagree with mut. a tight snare would give a little more punch and make the drums standout better. Maybe you could keep the fat snare sound on the second count and make a tight snare (hit the snare harder) on the fourth count. It's the type of drumming that Bud Gaugh (former drummer of Sublime, current drummer of Long Beach Dub Allstars)uses a lot. But all in all, its a killer song.
