Traitorous Usurper
I humbly present my new tune, "Aardvark Steamroller". All instruments (yeah, yeah, the damn drums are programmed in Reason) were played by me.

Nothing has been eq'd or compressed, either because I'm friggin' lazy, or because I just had too much fun playing the guitar on this song and don't feel the need to screw with it too much.

As a guitarist myself Purge I would like to have the lead guitar line more upfront in the mix ever so slightly, I like the tone of the lead guitar and your playing is sweet! I love the section 2:00-2:20.
The kick is slightly buried and lacks the thwack I think this tune would benefit from!
Very busy Purge but I like it and I am going back for another listen!

Thanks for the listen! I've gotten that comment before about putting my leads too low in the mix. (must be a weird sheepish thing :o ) I'll give a little level increase a try.

Originally, when I wrote this tune (God, that was years ago...just never got around to recording it until now), I was able to slap and pop the bass line...gave it that "thwack" that I agree is missing...now I just suck at bass and I figured I had better just pick it. Maybe I'll dig around in Reason and see if I can redo that kick sound.

I agree with bringing the lead up a bit. Other than that, nice tune. Bass sounds good to me. Even the programmed drums fit the tune.

When Aardvarks explode, does it give you a woody? Me too....
