Hi guys,

I can't get SONAR 7 to use my M-Audio Firewire 410 with a 24bit bit depth. In the audio options dialog box, the bit depth selection is greyed out and says 24. But at the bottom of the main sonar window it says 96kHz, 16bits. And all of the project wave files are 16 bit. What the heck, I've had this working with previous versions of SONAR! Can anyone help?

Much appreciated.

Are you using the ASIO or WDM drivers?

If WDM, re-running the wave profiler may help.

Sometimes Cakewalk recomends deleting (or renaming) the AUD.ini file if nothing else seems to work

This is usuall located in the following folder;

C:\Documents and Settings\"user"\Application Data\Cakewalk\SONAR 7...

where "user" is your login name

Just wondering what OS your using?
Last I read S7 was only supported under Vista.
I'm using it with XP64 but I ran across a few
glitches getting my 828MKII running at 24 bit.
I think deleting the AUD.INI is the quick way
to get things re-detected like eric suggested.

Along with the menu item Hard2Hear mentioned above, you can also change the bit-depth on a project-by-project basis, via the "Change Audio Format" option on the Tools menu.
