Picked up and XP30 off Ebay a while back. Pretty good board for the buck I think. It did not come with a manual though. I've figured just about everything out, but I'm having trouble with the "performance" mode. I'm using SONAR 1 with a MidiMan 2x2 Midi/ USB interface. For some reason it's playing any given sound twice, and the result is a phased out audio signal.
If I go to "program" mode it's fine. Switch back to "performance" mode (which is where I assume it needs to be to play back multi-track sequences) and every channel doubles playback again. Weird. I had it working fine for a while, but I must have inadvertantly changed some setting somewhere.
The Roland website doesn't have a PDF maual, as far as I can tell. Anybody know where I can get one?

Suggestions?

I'm not sure, but it sounds like the sound generator of the synth is receiving the note on message twice. Once directly from the keys and once from the loop the midi cables make that are connected to the computer. The messages goes through the midi cable to the pc and back from the pc to the synth again.

Have can you turn the local setting to off on the synth?

please forgive me if you know it isnt that and that was just a "to simple" suggestion

That was my first instinct as well, but I have definitely turned off the local setting and the problem still persists. After further testing, I've found that it may have something to do with a setting in SONAR rather than the XP30, because the doubling problem crops up consistantly on certain files but never on others. It's one of the more bizarre problems I've ever come across....
