sweeeeet dave. I actaully may be getting a Otari 1" 8 track for 200 bucks in a few days. I think we can all safely say there's nothing better than ebay and craigslist. In fact, I've never gotten any recording equipment that wasn't from ebay or craigslist.
 
And the feeling I'll get the day I pick it up & set it up at home will be...

You can totally get deals like that in NYC too, hell's kitchen is always unloading gear from failed recording studios on craigslist. but my wife would kill me if i brought any home!
