FUCKING Awesome!!!!!

This sounds good.. I don't hear any EQ issues... Maybe the bass drum needs to be louder... Thats It...

This could be one of the hit novelty songs.... Sort of like that.. "New Kids got run over by a reindeer" tune...

Someday you and Me are gonna do a Collab, and I will play the drums on this....!!!!!!!

Joe

SOUND DIAGNOSIS - I appreciate you looking out for me. That's the kind of encouragement that keeps us all going, right?

ZPphreak - Your post made me feel better than all of the others. Thanks!

Joro - I appreciate it very much...I wish you'd start a thread for your tune.

WATYF - Son, for your own good, get your ears checked now...LOL

Sluice - Thanks brother...I'm a mere shadow of what you were before you ever found this BBS...(translation = I suck :D)

Party Pants - Quit Calling me the crystal meth cowboy, for crying out loud. heheheheh...I've been clean and sober for years. Man, you oughtta' hear some of the shit I wrote when I was using......WHOOOOAAAA. Thanks for checking it out.

DTB - I like your tune better....Thanks for the CD, btw - The wife and I have enjoyed it quite a bit.

that is fucking hilarious! i'm crying.

i think this challenge is bringing out the best of all of us! this is as good as anything you've written so far chris!

there are some things to fix for the final version but damn, that's some fine songwriting.

A+++ on your homework my friend.

Those drums sound pretty good. The snare is very realistic. but where's the tamborine?

I fear that this "homework assignment" has opened Pandora's box--and I'm loving every minute of it! Hilarious!

hey, isn't this the song everybody really wants to write--but they don't because of the radio?

Loved it!

hell of a guitar player you are harris.

what do you credit to your current skill level? not just "pracitce"...but, say i wanted to be fluent in a similar style, what kind of advice would you offer?

great job

HILARIOUS!! I rolled in the floor i was laughing so hard
nice work

Holy crap! This is fuckin' funny. And done in an hour and a half. This challenge by Vox is gonna have us all thinking differently about how we do things.

Very good Chris.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I loved it. I'm not usually that hot on cussing in songs, but this works. And actually a nice twist on the hook (you know the part where it went something like "all he wanted to do is get you in the back seat and ...) Nicely done :D

ROFlMAO

this is a GREAT piece of work Chris......

uh, sorry...I meant fuckin' great......:p

Great!!

This would be right at home on ween's country album. Good flow, nice playing.

I'm getting pissed.

Hey guys...The board is moving so fast today, I'm not gonna' take up a lot of time on this response that nobody will read anyway. :D

Erichenryus - Glad you laughed...I had fun. Thanks for taking the time to check out the alternate versions of Erland's tune, too.

Crawdad - I feel like you, of all people, need to contribute a 1.5'r to the board. You're probably gigging..LOL.

wes480 - That's nice of you to say...the truth is that I learned to play my first solo at 24 when I joined the band that I'm still in. After the 4 of us got together to start laying down tunes, we realized that we had no lead guitar player (just 2 acoustic strummers). My bass player taught me how to play a major scale. Then, the other guitar player and I split up the set list and each learned the solos for 1/2 the songs. Practicing those did wonders. The rest, I think, is sitting around with a guitar noodling out notes while the stereo's playing. In fact, I think that's 95% of it, b/c it's fun. Most of the stuff I play is major scale boring stuff. The other guitar player, btw, is a freaking MONSTER now, so there's hope for pickers over the age of 25 after all. :D I'm flattered you thought enough about it to ask. Thanks.
