Well my music is mostly in the rap/hip-hop genre, although the singer would be singing in the style as heard above.
However, it is just an idea in the wind at this point. I was more curious if it was possible, if there are people available for projects like this.
Of course they are all different, I just didn't know how to describe the sound. I'll be using the same music, singing style and melody of this song here .. different words, though. Who would you say she sounds like?
I don't know how uncommon this request is, but I'm looking to hire a female singer for a recording; a one-time only thing. What I would do is send her an instrumental track MP3, and she would record herself singing along to it, and send the vocal track back to me. I would also send an example...
Unfortunately, the page was right about the incompatibility of >32MB soundfonts with SB Live! cards. I just tried the 72MB Splended piano soundfont and it blue-screened my system! :( I guess i'll keep looking on TheSoundSite.
With those great informative links I was able to:
1) install the AudioHQ utility from my SB Live! CD
2) set my soundfont memory to the maximum 127MB
3) Add and detach soudnfonts directly within Cakewalk
I just tried a strings patch and I'm amazed at how big and strong the sound is. Now to find...
Greetings all, I am extremely unknowledgeable so please bear with me as I try to explain this..
I do not like my keyboard's sound. Using my MIDI cables and Cakewalk Music Creator 2003, I can have the keyboard sound playing through my SB Live! sound card's MIDI. That is better, however, I...
great replies, I will take these keyboards into consideration.
I read about some kind of addon board that improves the S80's piano sound. Anyone know about that?
I am looking for a 88 key piano keyboard, with weighted keys, preferably with a stand and pedals.
I need it to have a nice, realistic piano sound. I currently have a Casio six octave keyboard that I am very dissapointed with (it was great when I bought it, but after using the Roland keyboards...
yeah, I've actually had the POD 2.0 and floorboard for a few months now but I don't think I am using it to its potential. I just installed the SoundDiver software, and I am confused
Well, I'd like to get sounds of other musicians... I was able to get the settings of Stevie Ray...

A little sloppy, but it will have to do for now.
By the way, it's an instrumental; no singing in this one -- so I guess this is a piece, not a song.
need opinions and advice on this mp3
I have been playing guitar for over four years now and am going to perform for my beginner piano class.
Here is an mp3 of what I am going to play, but it sounds just too boring and too long. There are no words because I can't sing. Yes it was poorly...
the cables...
ap:
I get my cables from FullCompass.com
There is no online ordering but their catalog listing is available; you can see their cables here http://fullcompass.com/catalog/ws2001/cables.html
What does it mean when you plug something in to the first click and when you plug something in all the way? This is probably different with TS and TRS i suppose.
Anyone know of where I can get a long cable to hook up my mixer to my computer? I have a Monster 2 1/4" -> 1/8" miniplug, but it is only 6 ft, and I want to move the computer further away.
Or shoudl I just keep the computer nearby because of loss in quality?
Yeah, I've seen those, but Hosa cables are of questionable quality, according to many on this bbs... but they're ubiquitous, and cheap.
I've found a Monster 1/8" stereo --> dual RCA mono males ,but that isn't exactly what I need, and a five foot cable will cost me $40.
I don't mean to get into...
I have the Line6 POD which has a setting called 'tube preamp' so I can hook up other instruments..
Would a bass guitar be okay for this? I know they make a seperate bass pod, but I'd like to use mine unless there's a good reason not to.. Thanks
