I have a issue where after about the midpoint of the CD it starts to sound like some weird jitter that plays about 10 seconds ahead of the actual CD. What is that. I'm using an 80 min CD and I'm burning at 2x or 4x. Need help quickly!!!

Here is a question thats probably asked a million times. If so sorry I didn't back on the retro list. Anyway is it a good idea to normalize all tracks to 0 in the mixing stage? Or does it depend on the type of instruments. How does this affect mastering?

I am using the MOTU 324 card and Cubase SX. Is it a bad idea to record at a bit rate of 32 floating than 24 bit. The converter on the 324 is 24, but I have read info on recording 20bit at 24. Why would you do that, I'm not sure. Can somebody clear that up for me? Would appreciate it.
