Wow
1. I've taken numerous REAL IQ tests....the above link is not one...or even close. You remind me of a student of mine who acted very similar, and thought that the "Doctorate of Divinity" degree he earned in 1 night online made him qualified to be called "Dr. Jon"...and he was serious.

This is a great new Audio Recording program for people interested in audio technology in the Midwest.

If you're in Southeast Kansas, Southwest Missouri, Or Northeast Arkansas, this would be a great place to learn more about recording.
or at least one other thing which i understand from his post, andd from others, would fall to the amount of error checking material included in a burned cd. We all know (don't we) that the reason an audio cd can go longer than a data cd (74 minutes vs. the 65 minutes we would expect from a 650mb...
Hey bro,
i couldn't find a 2624 on b's sight, but the 2642 will work fine with ntrack. Since it claims to have direct outs, you can simply run 8 cables from teh DO's on your first 8 channels, and monitor either through the headphone jack (using y cables for multiple mixes) or use your aux sends...
This one I encountered made me think on my feet a bit (because it was a timed test). But i'm also curious how everyone else would answer, preferably from experience, as opposed to "well, so and so says that this mike works best for...". Also, short, concise answers with short, concise...
has noone hear heard of Stephen Paul????...
Been away from the old bbs forever, but am shocked at all the responses on here referring to Stephen Paul as "this guy"... I grant that his posts were a more than a bit of a rant (which i found rather humorous), but think he pretty clearly stated that...
I've run across one of these recently that's been in a closet at my church, unused for probably 15 years. I remember another audio guy i talked to once saying that he used a 59 on kick drum, and had great results. Anyone else have one of these bad boys laying around, and what do you use it for?
for anyone who just hates their cakewalk pro audio 9, and wants to trade it for a 20 bit gina card that has been sitting idle since i got my 8/24, i'm interested. :) drop me an email, :)thanks :) :)

afaik-- it's technically not possible for the software to compress the signal between the a/d converter and writing to disk. Look at it this way, when the signal goes through the conversion process, it's either below digital zero, or exceeding it. compressing it after the conversion, if the...
if i told you the gear i used to record it, noone would download
it for fear of how it *should* sound :) As for the band, they're
really a pretty dynamic band live, and if it sounds packaged, it's
probably due to my personal recording limitations and inexperience :)
As for sounding alike, there...
even worse, it is generally the surrounding cities that can't seem to remember the fact that there is no "h" when they are printing, mailing, anything!
way off topic here :) :)
this is a compilation mp3 of the first album i did of a local praise band last year. I'm curious on anyones feedback, it's only 128kbps mp3, and adversely affects the highs, but should give a good idea, about 3megs.
Thanks so much for any comments :)...
I am really intrigued by the 2001 bashing i've heard on here. I'm not saying it's the best mic i've ever heard, but it in combination with a few tube mp's have given me some better overall drum, and vocal sounds than i had previously achieved with my AT condensers. The first cd i recorded of a...
Thanks for the reply slack,
Actually i meant what is the most simultaneous tracks anyone has been able to record at once, like with 2 8/24's in one machine. i have some potential projects which would need at least 11 simultaneous tracks... I have finally been figuring out how to work it without...
Anyone tried ntrack with win2k? and if i'm correct, NT doesnt' support dual monitors, but 2k does? that's the only thing keeping me from switching...
Also, what is the max number of tracks anyone has been able to record in ntrack, anyone above 8?
thanks
Nathan
Ok, been using a gina for over a year now. Ran the mains out of my little mixer, through the 2 channels of compressor, into the gina- i.e. 2 channels of nice, NON CLIPPING audio.
Now getting an 8/24 (in tomorrow), what's the cheapest way of getting 8 channels of non clipping (ie...
eventually it will be the manual that you throw out the window, and not the rp12. Instead, sell the rp12 and get a line 6 from pod, ask any guitarist who has ever used one, search any bbs you like, and read any review on teh planet. It is way more up your alley... If you absolutely must stick...
