    Feedback - Janet

Hi, I'm working with a new artist and she's looking for the style of music shown in Janet's new single, Feedback. I can easily get the beats down, but the vocal effects are what I'm having trouble with. It's very electronic and highly corrected-sounding... if that makes sense. Heres a YouTube...

    Generic Pop Vocal

Hi, I'm going to be doing work with a female pop singer (Really generic... think Britney Spears or Paris Hilton type vocals). I'm wondering what the best microphone I can get (value:price ratio) for her voice. It's only demo work so I'm not looking for top-of-the-line. Thanks!

    Recording in my bedroom

Okay, I know this has been asked so many times, but like others, Im going to be recording in my bedroom. Its in a basement with heavily insulated (sounds almost soundproofed) walls and ceilings. It has a laminate flooring (similar to hardwood, but cheaper) and has an area carpet in it. Also, my...

    Preamp or Mixer?

Im currently in the process of buying some cheap equipment to start a little recording setup. So far, Ive thought to get the Studio Projects B3 mic (Seems to be in between B1 and C1, which most people approve of), Delta 44 soundcard, and a preamp or mixer. That leads to my question. Mixer or...

    SP B1 or B3?

What would be a better choice to record rock vocals and guitars for? The B1 or B3 from Studio Projects? The vocals will be hard at times, and softer at others. Also, some of the songs will be acoustic, and some will be not-so-hard electric guitar.
