Can anyone point me in the direction of some free software that is ok for remixing music please? Thanks.

I went through a phase of ripping off a song note for note in a riff and not realising it. Thin Lizzy and Foo Fighters were favourites of mine for this shammery!

Sorry. Forgot to reply to that earlier. It's not my tune but it was made up by the other guitarist in my band. It is an original but he may have "borrowed subconciously" from somewhere. Has anyone ever done this?

It's the groove tunnel. Used to be the refuge. See the reason that they might be sounding so rough as well is that to convert them to MP3 I had to play the song on Media Player and record on Audacity then export the song as MP3. :o I don't have that much software at the mo. My Girlfriends...

    Ok.... so.......

.... I've got band practice tonight and I was wondering..... Could I use the mixer there to record onto my VF80? Not sure what kind of mixer it is but could it in theory be used? Eg mic up the amps and drums and take a line from the mixer to my multitrack? What would the most likely connection...

That's why I'm learning to do it myself. Might not get as good an output as that at first but after a good few takes and a long time learning to mix I should be able to knock something out that's worth a listen to. Not by any means proffesional but passing the amature stage. :D

Yeah I know. Mind you he was only £15 an hour which is cheaper than usual. Best not rip him too much. He might frequent this board. ;)

    VF80 to Reason?

Is it possible to get samples from my multy track onto DR:REX on Reason via MIDI? It is Reason 1.0 I have so I don't know if that might cause problems.

    Tell me what you think

It'd be easier I suppose sticking something like taht on my home pc and sticking the files onto floppy or CDR then bringing them to work to stick on the web. Och well. Nice site by the way.

    Tell me what you think

I'm going to give that place a try. I suppose it'd be a good idea having the songs there as well as on the site so that more folk can here them. Cheers chris. You wouldn't be clued up on CSS and HTML would you by any chance?

Yeah its a year. I'll probably just go with them then. I did specify in the CCS that it should be Arial sans-serif but I realised I spelled it ARIEL. only problem is now I'm trying to sort it and it just won't change from Times New Roman. This kind of thing will turn me grey and I'm only 20!

    VF80 MIDI to Audacity

I'll put it bluntly. I'm an ignoramus when it comes to anything computery. So why am I bothering? I don't know. Anyway I have a MIDI cable conecting my VF80 to My soundcard. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this would work with the free sequencing software Audacity. Then maybe give me...

Duely noted ;) Cheers. Got to get a graphics editor badly. I now know why the MP3 files take so long. Sh!tty freewebs caps any file over 1Mb so I'm going to have to shell out £30 to become a premium user which will remove the capping and then a further 20 notes to get a dot co dot uk adress...
