.... I've got band practice tonight and I was wondering..... Could I use the mixer there to record onto my VF80? Not sure what kind of mixer it is but could it in theory be used? Eg mic up the amps and drums and take a line from the mixer to my multitrack? What would the most likely connection have to be between the 2 of them? could I run a jack from teh mixer to the VF80? I realise this post is a bit vague. Sorry

Sure - just take 2 line outs from the mixer and input into the 2 inputs on the vf. 1/4" jacks, if that's what the mixer has.

be careful

yes this is done easily, make shure you hook it up right though, or you will fry your recorder, really easy, just dont use the lines from the poweramp, use one of the designated outs, saw a guy do that one time, hahahh not good....
if your not shure, you can always use the tape out, put that is usually post fader and will not have effects and all, look online at the mixers manual if you reaally dont know which ones to use...
