Need bass sound for my acoustic

Hey guys, I recently bought a Valeton OC-10 octave pedal. Supposedly it's modeled after the Boss OC 2/3 super Octave pedal. I want to lay down bass lines with my acoustic guitar for looping purposes (not playing chords). Unfortunately, I am getting a lot of warbling sounds when I use it...

    Synching Drum machine with Cubase

That won't work So I thought I would reply two years after my original post… LOL. Anyway, I would like to do what you suggested above however, it won't work correctly. My drum machine internal clock and my click track in cubase are not perfectly in sync with each other. Meaning by the end of...

    Synching Drum machine with Cubase

Hi all, I have my equpiment posted in my bio but not sure if you can see it easily so I will post again: Tascam US-1641 Cubase LE 5 DR-670 BTW - I'm basically a newb. Goal: I want to use a drum machine instead of the cubase metronome to record to. Which means I want to synch my drum machine...

    Facts on Pop filters

Hi all, After browsing through a ton of threads regarding pop filters, I feel I still don't have a clue. Half of what I read tells newbs (like myself) to use panty hose. Another 25% say use metal only (stedman) and not nylon. Another 15% say use the cheap ones and they are just as good...

    Mackie 808M Monitor Amp issue

I accidentally started another thread entitled "Peavey 808M" and can't figure out how to remove it. It should be "Mackie". My apologies. Anywho... Long story short, I am having issues with the monitor amp of my 808m. When I first fire it up, it works fine, but after a short amount of time...

    Peavey 808M

No, it doesn' fade in and out. And it's both speakers or none. Is it possible to be a fuse? I would think it's not because if the fuse was blown, it would NEVER work right?

    Peavey 808M

Mackie 808M Hello all, I bought Mackie 808M powered mixer years ago. We never used it much, but lately I have been using it again (in a new band). For some reason, the monitors (amp) will just not work consistently. The next day i will plug it in and suddenly they are working again. I...

    Can't Multitrack record

So, this is an extrememly late reply, but..... After looking on the internet, etc there is a little input indicator next to each channel that should be showing the levels. Nothing is showing here. However, I decided to just try recording to see if it was working....it is. lol. I'm confused...

    Can't Multitrack record

Interesting.....I assumed it wasn't coming through because I saw no indication of a signal in the audio activity section. However, after reading your post I held my mouse over this section and the text that shows is, "Audio Activity (Default input Channel)". So, i guess this is only showing a...

    Please go shopping for me

It doesn't arrive until Tuesday. I'm probably going to abandon my plan to use REaper since it comes with the lite version of cubase.

    Please go shopping for me

This might be a dumb question, but what does it mean when an interface like this (the tascam) has 16 inputs (10 simultaneous) but only 4 outputs? Does that mean your tracks are combined by the time they make it to your PC application? Or are they still split?

    Please go shopping for me

Wow. So, just when I thought I had made my choice.... Buzzard - I don't get it. What's the catch? How can I get this many inputs for this cheap? Does it matter that it's a "rack" unit? I can't imagine why.... I don't know anything about preamps, but are the preamps not good on this one...

Thanks Jeff - I was thinking 4 inputs as well, but your words convinced me. Curious - what bad experience did you have with emu /creative? btw i recieved a response from Emu in case anyone cares: "E-MU is pleased to announce that we now have a public Beta Windows 7 Driver driver for all...

    Please go shopping for me

Good lord........ I have looked at reviews and chatter about all these interfaces and they pretty much all have one thing in common..... Driver issues. In fact, I thought I'd go directly to the site for e-mu 0404 USB and they specifcally state that they don't have any drivers for Win7 and...

    Please go shopping for me

OK, so I have added a few more to this list based on another post I read. I know a few of these are over the price I stated, but.....if it was worth it I would splurge. Considering: 1. e-mu 0404 USB ($185) 2. PreSonus AudioBox ($150) 3. M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8X8 ($318) 4. Zoom R16...

Wow MoreSound - I had no idea actually. Now that I look at it close up i can see it. That is pretty cool. So far based on another thread I've read, I'm down to e-mu 0404 USB ($185) Audio Kontrol 1 ($229) PreSonus AudioBox ($150) Although I am willing to spend more if it is worth it...
