I accidentally started another thread entitled "Peavey 808M" and can't figure out how to remove it. It should be "Mackie". My apologies.
Anywho...
Long story short, I am having issues with the monitor amp of my 808m. When I first fire it up, it works fine, but after a short amount of time it stops working. The impedance is 8ohms, etc. I called Mackie support and after asking me the basic troubleshooting questions he stated that there seems to be an issue with that amp (which is what i though). However, it sounds like its a hell of a lot of money to get this thing fixed. Is there something simple that could cause this? Meaning, is it possible for me to take it apart and fix, even if I have no idea what i'm doing? lol
It's hard to justify paying $200 + to get it fixed when that is 1/3 of the price of a new one. Any suggestions?
