I am thinking about buying a set of triggers and triggering acoustic drums when the come into the studio. Is there a drum "brain" that has (decent samples) and seperate outs for all the different drums (like a seperate out for kick,snare,tom1,tom2,tom3 or trigger1,trigger2, etc)?

I have 3 different isolated (at least on different breakers) circuits that i plug my gear into. Seems that my effects are getting a little buzz on! Is there something that I can plug in between the rack and the wall that will isolate them to reduce the hum?
I ordered a bunch of foam from foamorder.com 2 weeks ago, they told me 7-10 days. Last Mon. I called and the guy said it was there and they were shipping it. This last friday i called to ask where it was, he says he cant find the order, then he calls me back saturday am to tell me apparently...
If you are looking for transparent (i.e. no coloring) you might try a John Hardey.....2 channels around 1700.00 (you might be able to get 4 channels with your budget). And, he has a 15 day return policy.
Check out http://www.raxxess.com/catalog.asp?CATID=112 (pricing at http://www.sweetwater.com), or http://www.argosyconsole.com (fairly expensive, find pricing on the site)
My son is real into rap and hip hop, I have fruity loops3 and acid2 and am investigating which one would be best for him to start making his own beats on. I am leaning twards Fruity3......but I have a couple questions.
What I would like to do is have him create his beats in Fl3, then export out...
John,
I'll be doing the tiles above my control room seating in the morning. Any other suggestions to get the most out of the 2 rooms? Thanx for putting my little garage on your site!
Vern
John, I appreciate your help. The walls in both the main room and the control room actually have rpg's 2'x4' pro foam and a few of their 1'x1' pro foam tiles (http://www.rpgdiffusors.com/products/profoam/index.htm). The corners are rpg's pro corners...
John,
Thanx for the smartdraw link, MUCH easier than Viseo! I did the layout and posted it on the pix page, go ahead and grab whatever you need. Now the real fun begins!
Thanx,
Vern
Thanx John! Actually, I have a few photo's of the whole process, but I thought it might be good to do a layout drawing, then a few explinations with the pic's.....I'll d/l smartdraw and see if I can get that together.....would love to have it on your site, thanx!

This is a 21'x21' converted garage. Took us about 3 weeks to do. It's small, but I think it'll get the job done.

John, what software do you use to draw those layouts?
Thanx, I appreciate the help. I kinda figured that was the way to go, just wanted to varify....it's an unusual shape, but 7'9" flat ceiling.......not much to work with really as it's such a small space and not enough size to generate much usefull sound.
Dead it will be.

I am converting a 21' x 21' garage into a small studio. Approx 1/2 is a corner control room and the other 1/2 is the tracking room. I am wondering, should I just make the tracking room a "dead" room as I don't think i'll get much usefull room ambience from a room this size.....any suggestions...
Ok,
I would really like to just go with outboard equipment, but am trying to keep digital in digital instead of converting etc....soooooooooo, what are the best software based effects, i.e. reverb, delay, etc......I see different brands and types (directx, vst) and am totally confused. I'd like...
