ya know that makes a hell of a lot of sense!
ok its mostly gonna be me messin around with some ideas on an elec guitar but when the band comes over i gotta have all that stuff too. so when the band comes over its gonna be 1-2 people on vocal, 2 guitars, bass, drums. anything else you need to know?
ok listen up all you recording genius cats out there. i'm just startin out, and i want to get some recording gear, nothin like real expensive but nothin real cheap. just some decent stuff ok? so umm...what do i need to get? i take it i'm gonna need an a mixer and i'm lost from there. like what...
actaully last night i was about to post about a rickenbacker, i was lookin at that exact one! i've played the john lennon signature 12 string model, and i loved the way the neck felt. do you know what the average price for one of those (330 i think)?
later cats
ok listen up cats heres the deal: i'm gonna get a new guitar sometime in the near future. i cant decide against these 3 guitars: a '62 reissue Jaguar, a Gibson Les Paul (either a standard or the vintage reissue they have), and a Gibson SG. i've played Les Pauls, but i've never had any...
ok heres the deal:
i'm trying to wire my guitar for series/parrallel right? i'm gonna use three on-off-on toggle switches for the pickup selection and a on-on toggle switch to switch between series or parallel. i've got the switches, but how do i know which terminals on the switch are hot...
ok i'm really confused now, on the back of the compressor there are now 1/4 inch jacks or XLR inputs or anything like that. it just has terminals that are the type you connect bare wire to(like the ones on the back of speakers). it also has an a jack on it that says Stereo Coupler. how the hell...
ok heres the question: if i shield my guitar will i still be able to get the same amount of feed back? i thought i would still be able too, but i just want to make sure before i do anything

hey people i 've been tryin to experiment with incorporating feedback into my playing & to make it sound musically good. how the hell do you do this? do you just turn the amp up really loud so when you take like a half second brake the feedback comes in or what? & also why does feedback happen...
hey i dont know how good you are but if your gonna do a blues progession type song i would throw in some improvised licks here and there. but i dont know if you're at that level yet. if your not you will most likely learn basic improv in the band (if you make it of course). i'm in my HS's jazz...
alright, i know i've posted quite a few posts and they may be getting on the annoying side, but here it goes. alright i've got fender noisless pickups in my Strat right now. apparently there was some thing wierd with the fender co. apparently fender didnt include the proper wiring...
i just tried a telecaster tonight. i absolutely fell in love with the one i played. it was a '69 thinline. this thing is fricken awesome. however i was really confused when i got to the store to try them out. there was like 15 different types of teles. i think i'm gonna get it. does any one...
yeah i know Jimmy Page used a Tele on the early stuff. I want to try out some tele's (prolly tonight). but i love the les paul neck. especially down low where the neck meets the body. that little curve makes it a whole bunch easier for vibrato & big bends. i understood tele's to have an even...
hey tech people out there, i'm lookin to do all that coil tapping, phasing, and series/parallel stuff to a les paul standard. i'm not that experienced working on guitars, but i have plenty of soldering & electrical experience. is this something that someone of my level could take on? also does...
hey people, is it possible to put a coil tap switch on any humbucker? & ya know how a humbucker is just like two single coils (isnt it?), does it matter which "side" of the humbucker you do it to?
oh crap i gotta run to school. later
what in sam hell is coil tapping? i've read about this while looking at different pickups, it'll say either "humbucker w/ coil tap mini switch" or "humbucker w/ push push coil tap"
what is this i hear about?
