    Getting all new mics

Just as an FYI: that guy on ebay used the same exact picture for both stands. You know, Radio Shacks can come in handy for these sort of things sometimes too.

    Getting all new mics

Jeez. Who can tell? I would probably feel more comfortable getting mic stands from somebody like musiciansfriend rather than people that hawk these generic 'professional' things on ebay. I would probably go for something like this for the kick mic...

    Getting all new mics

They're probably not the most heavy-duty ones out there but should do the job. I don't think I'd go over $20 apiece on 'em.

    Getting all new mics

I would call your closest Guitar Center on Monday and see what kind of price they would give you on the Oktavas and if they'll ship them to you. You *do* realize you are going to need phantom power for these, right? As far as stands, I would definitely get tri-pod boom stands for your...

    Getting all new mics

If they're going to be used strictly for overheads I would give the edge to the Oktavas. I'm hardly an expert though. Let's see what other people say.

    Getting all new mics

If you're recording everything at once the ECM8000s would probably not be a good choice since they are omni are will pick up alot of guitars, etc. You might be able to pick up a couple of Oktava MC012s at Guitar Center at $50 each. Alot of people like them as overheads. The 57s are good for...

    Getting all new mics

You didn't mention if you were going to be recording everything at once. If not, the B1 will work as overheads, on guitar cabs and on vocals. Here's a nice article about putting together a mic cabinet: http://www.mojopie.com/micproj.html

I got one at GC for $119 last month with no haggling. I'd check out their Labor Day sale.

Should I buy an original SM57 or an immitation?

Buy a real 57 and have a real mic for life.
