    drum machines, your opinion please...

Thats cool man, we gotta give him all the info we can. I was just saying that the layout on the Korgs as far as drum machine styles goes is kinda lame. The ASR-X is a pretty dope machine. The sequencer on the older black one is kinda shakey but I think they fixed it somewhat on the newer...

    Hookin up a talkbox?

Thanks for the reply Scott, When I hook up the keyboard into the Aux, I can hear it perfectly. I just picked up the talkbox at GC used for 75. I've been racking my brain and spending hours unhooking and hooking things up to no avail. This is what I have to work with: 75 watt Fender amp 10...

    drum machines, your opinion please...

Personally, I dont like the Electribes (just my opinion though). MP-7, yeah. I would still get the MPC or ASR-X. I acually have a Korg ES-1 that my buddy got as a gift. He thought you could just plug it in and get crackin'. Well, it sat in its box for about 1 year and I just copped it off...

    Hookin up a talkbox?

Hello everybody, Well, I have a Heil Talkbox and having a hell of a time trying to hook it up. I'm going to be using it with my keyboard but only have a home receiver to run it. The way I have it set up now (which doesnt seem to work) is: Line out from the keyboard to Aux. in rcvr. Speaker...

    drum machines, your opinion please...

Its not rocket science but they will take more time to learn than a drum machine, but the overall outcome will have you tappin' your toes. The thing with the MPC series or the ASR-X is that they can be used as drum machines but offer many more features that basic drum machines dont like...

    drum machines, your opinion please...

Hmmmm~ I had the Zoom and it was a blast. Comes with some pretty nice bass sounds as well. I also had the SR-16 to which was more realistic sounding. I agree with c9-2001 though, skip the basic drum machine and swoop on an MPC or even an ASR-X which you can find on ebay between 250 and 600...

    Hooking up mixer to computer

Well, your friend needs either 1/4" or RCA cable to go out of the mixer with an 1/8" (headphone jack) to go into the line in on the soundcard of the computer. I assume you still use the original soundcard that came with the computer. Peace, B

At this point in time, who do you feel is the hottest producer in Hip-Hop,and why?

I agree about Dre being on and off so I would have to say Quik right now. His new album is bangin' and he's got a lot of work under his belt.

    Akai MDP16

Great, I'm glad to hear it will work!! Yeah, I am just more comfortable puttin' beats out on a pad vs playing the keys which I still love using for layin' down bass lines and such. If you could find that info somewhere, it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Dolo, B

    Akai MDP16

Has anybody out there used the Akai MPD16 yet? I was thinking about getting one and using it to control the sounds on my EPS 16+ instead of using the keyboard. Will this work just through a midi connection? If anyone has used it, how do ya like it? Thanks, B

    Ensoniq eps 16+

Hey everybody, Does anyone know how I can make my own drumkits on disks? I have many kits but I want to take a kick from one disk, a snare from another and so on...and put them all on one disk. I'm having to load up these kits seperately just to use a high hat and as you all know, the 16+ isnt...

    Good For Urban Beats?

Go check out eBay. I bought an eps 16+ for about 250 and I have never had a problem with it even thought it was used. Check out the Ensoniq ASR-X. The sequencer sucks on it but the sounds are great and its a drum machine style sampler/re-sampler. You'll be able to have your kicks, snares and...
