    What Next?

Yeah I got the actives, lucky I know the guy in the shop, they were gonna charge me £320/$524 for the pair, but I got them for £250/$409. I've got an Alesis SR16 and a Boss DR202. Also got the built in drum machine on the Zoom MRS802. (I'm not too thrilled about any of them)

    What Next?

I used to just plug everything into my tascam porta 2 analog 4-track, but lately I've been splashing out a bit of money on decent recording equipment (decent for my meagre budget anyway) In the last couple of weeks I've bought a Zoom MRS802 multitracker, and have just paid my deposit on a pair...

    Biggest Most Dangerous Guitar Sound

Unfortunately I don't have (and probably never will have) the £££'s to buy a boogie (or a PRS for that matter). And no amount of cab simulation and effects seem to get me that sound, so I'll stick with my original statement. "I'd love to be able to reproduce that sound" :( Thats it! I'm...

    Gibson Les Paul

Was having a look at some Les Pauls today, as I'm looking at getting one too (well until I get the money together I mostly drool on them) the double cutaway is hideous, it doesn't even deserve to have the name printed on it looking like that, the tone/treble switch is beside the control pots...

Who is the most underrated guitarist?

Vito Bratta (Formerly with White Lion) Combined a very classical technique into a rock style and still managed to provide the emotion required by the song. (Unlike a certain Mr Malmsteen who wouldn't know emotion if it kicked him in the happysac)

    Biggest Most Dangerous Guitar Sound

If we're talking tone (and not how thrashy the Music is) Then I'd have to go for bands like Saliva, Evanescence, and Drowning Pool. I'd love to be able to reproduce that sound.

    I'm not gay

I used to have a shocking pink Kramer as a backup guitar at gigs, unfortunatley it couldn't hold its tuning and ended up being launched across a dancefloor during a gig. (That got the biggest cheer of the night)

    Which pickups?

I'm guessing it's a 3xsingle coil model. Eddie uses a humbucker that he helped design. And I don't believe that its available to buy seperately from the guitar. Heres a URL that I found that may prove useful to you. http://www.axesrus.com/axepickup.htm

    Monitoring Final Mixdown

I've just started using my Zoom MRS802, but I'm having a few problems when doing final mixdown. When I get everything sounding great on headphones plugged directly into the zoom and record the master track, then burn it to CD, it sounds completely different on the my stereo/computer, and I seem...

    Help needed! with MRS 802

Just found out why I can't find the phrases, my MRS802 was a demonstration model, the shop had let people record stuff on Project 1, then deleted it....guess where the phrases were kept....project 1. But all is not lost, I've done a factory restore and got them back. :D Thanks to ssscientist...

    Technics RP-3215E

I've attached a pic, but I think your probably right about it being part of a package (recorder) deal. Still it might be useful for picking up stereo ambient sounds. Thanks for replying bud

    Acoustic Drum loops

Does anyone know of a good resource for finding decent acoustic drum loops/phrases (intros, fills, 8beats etc). I've got 2 drum machines (alesis SR16 and Boss DR202) plus the built in drums on my Zoom MRS802, but I'm kinda sick of the textures and velocities of the hi-hats and snares. But with...

    Technics RP-3215E

 You guys gotta bare with me, I'm a complete newbie to the technical side of recording. (I used to just hit record on a 4-track and play). But I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on the Technics RP-3215E stereo condenser mic as I've just won one on ebay very cheaply...

    Help needed! with MRS 802

Thanks, but... I read that part, but that relates to user made phrases for the specified project, ie each project is allocated 100 blank phrases. I've sent an email to the UK Zoom distributor, hopefully something will come back soon. Thanks for trying though mate.

    Help needed! with MRS 802

Just got myself a Zoom MRS 802 and I've hunted through the manual, but I cannot find how to access the 96 prerecorded sample phrases, theres a phrase list on one of the pages but no instruction on how to access them. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, if I had any hair I'd be ripping it...
