New Metalcore Mix - Implementing Advice

Hi guys! A couple of weeks back i posted a tune and some of you were kind enough to leave feedback.. The main points were that the geets were too loud, bass not loud enough and the snare sounded dodgy! Iv tried to take that advice on this new mix and i am pretty happy with it. could any of...

New Metalcore Tune - *no vocals*

Yea, I guess I'm stuck with that respect. My bass is just a cheap one as well. At least with amp sims you can keep tweaking away with your sound without having to re track every time. You can't polish a turd but you can cover it with sugar sprinkles!

New Metalcore Tune - *no vocals*

Haha fair enough! It's DI'd though with a bass amp sim so I'll tweak around with those!

New Metalcore Tune - *no vocals*

Thanks a lot man, ill give it all a re-shuffle! listening back, you're right about the bass...i can hear it, but all i can hear is the highs...chop those out and give the lows more of a boost! should i just EQ out notches in the bass' high end or just low pass the shit out of it?

Thank for the comments, Yea there are so many different genres there's days I thought I'd stick to the simple 'metal'! I will pass on your comments to the vocalist, he is trying to improve as much as possible. By squashed do you mean there is too much compression on the track or are there...

Can I get some honest feedback on this?

Hi mate, just listening to your song now...real nice ambient feel to it. i would say that when the solos are playing the acoustic/rhythm guitar could do with being a little quieter, takes my attention away from the nice solo when i hear a sudden twang on the acoustic. the fret buzz is a cool...
